My new KMINI-14/20GBPR (Stainless LE Rifle) with pics!

I've been wanting this rifle since I first saw it on the Ruger Law Enforcement website. My dealer got me into it today. This is model 5832 on the Ruger LE website, and is available through Ruger Law Enforcement Distributors. Essentially it's just a stainless 16-inch Tactical Model, but comes from the factory with the Amega Ranges picitinny rail in lieu of the standard handguard. It also comes issued with two LE marked factory 20 round mags, and is issued with a black web sling. I'm headed to the ranch tomorrow to break it in. Thanks for letting me show off a little.

Very nice!! I also have wanted one ever since I first seen them (kinda rare). Not sure why Ruger doesn't make them a standard item, one thing I really like about the Mini-14 is that it comes in stainless...

Very similar to my mini 30 with my Amega mount . Look into the accu-strut. It did tighten up my groups a little and looks good as well. I also picked up the tactical light kits for Amega mounts to attach a light and/or a laser.

It's my understanding that ruger is making an LEO model with an 18 inch stainless barrel and a flash hider. Ruger is starting to get their act together and move into the 21st century. kwg

I was thinking of looking for an older 18" model to have threaded, but if that's the case, I'll wait for the LEO model to come out and then try and track one down.

MSRP is over $1200 on them. They are available for about $803 (out the door) at my local Ruger LEO dealer. Go to www.gtdist.com and then click your way to semiauto rifles. Their prices are posted, and I believe they will ship the rifles to other FFLs, but you would have to call and verify that with them. I dont know if they sell this particular model to law enforcement only, but you can check with them on that as well. Just remember, this is a very large cop shop, and their telephone sales people might not be "gun people", so be prepared to spoon feed the sales staff information. I hope this helps.

Also, thanks for all of the positive comments, and for allowing me to parade her around for you guys.

Nice Rifle. I have a KMini-14/20CP, model 5820, LE 16, no flash hider. I paid about $750 out the door. Note that these do not come with scope rings. I love the balance of the 16". I have a question regarding the sling that comes with it. I can not figure out how to install it (seems too short). Can you provide some more close up photos with an explanation of how to install. Thanks and enjoy you mini.

doorgunner: I know this is an old thread, but I just joined the group and wanted to comment. That rifle looks awesome! I really hope that Ruger will make tactical minis in stainless available to the general public.

Thanks for sharing the great pics! How does it shoot?

They're available to the GP, you just have to be on good terms with your LGS...
