Another HAB question

What is the height above bore of a 1" tube scope using the ruger 1" rings supplied with the gun, and using the integral mounts. It should be the same for all 1" tubes right? 1/2" above the inside surface of the bottom ring, plus whatever the distance to bore center is, yes?

Anyone know this distance?

From the center of the rings to the center of the bore my tri-square gives me approximately 1.5''

Well...i might be wrong. Thats from where the rings split to the center of the bore. But really taking a look at it, the rings dont seem to split exactly in the middle

I re-measured and got approximately 1.75''.

Hopefully someone with a much less crude instrument can chime in and confirm one of the measurements

The best way to measure center to center is to measure from the top id of the bore to the top id of the rings.

With the factory supplied "low" rings, mine is about 1 7/8 inches. Center to center.

Just measured mine, its about spot on a 1.75" center to center bore to scope. These are the 1" 'high' rings supplied with the 581 mini, which are about .57" from receiver to bottom of scope.

2.1" using the gg&g rail and low rings with a 32 mm objective scope. This is within .1" of my .308 bolt action using a 40mm objective scope. As you remember, I like a high HAB. Fit to you is key with all this stuff. For what I do with them, a 2" HAB works fine on Centerfire rifles, but it isn't how my .22 bolt action is setup (for contrast information.)
