Just an FYI: I have been using this ammo from CTD.com, Made by BVAC (Bitterroot Valley Ammo Co.) It is made in Montana using once fired brass, costs 16.79 per 50. It is a bit more expensive than the tula and wolf and such, but it is brass, made in America (Montana), boxer primed, and works great in MY mini. fired a few hundred rounds so far and not 1 single FTF FTE. More than I can say for the steel cased Tula I have. And it keeps a few dozen people in USA employed.

Been useing BVAC for awhile now shoots great, all the brass is LC Nato. It is fairly accurate and clean, their 62 gr (FMJBT) shoots as well as the military green tip at all ranges. I still have about 1000 rds left. I've taken some of their rounds apart and measured them and they are very consistant in bullet weight and powder measure. They are not match grade by any means, but they will do the job.

I would like try some of that ammo but i will not buy anything from CTD and CDN. They will not sell perfectly legal AR and AK 47 parts to people in Ca. Replacement parts for these have always legal to sell in Ca. Rim fire rifles are not considered assault weapons. It has always been legal to sell replacement parts for registered assault weapons in Ca. Now you can buy anything for these rifles in Ca except mag holding more than 10 rounds and receivers that are in the assault weapon ban that's it everything else is legal but they still won't sell us parts. It is enough that we have deal with the state of Ca these venders should show us some support and a little backbone and sell us legal parts in Ca. I ordered a ten mag that was made from Chinese 30 round mag. When i got it i checked it it held 12 rounds. I called CTD and talked to a tech about it months later they were still selling them. Now those were very illegal Ca. and they still sold them i don't get it.

While I can see what you're saying, it seems (as someone who admittedly has neither lived there nor researched the laws...) that the firearms laws in the PRK are rather convoluted.

Some things are perfectly legal for firearms in certain configurations, while the same part on a differently configured rifle is a felony.

That's a lot of general rules, exceptions, and nuances to keep up with when selling and shipping products to Kalifornia. It seems to me that, rather than exposing themselves to liability, CTD has decided not to sell certain parts and accessories to folks with a California address.

Again, I agree that it would be frustrating, and understandably so. But I can also see where they're coming from... Not trying to sway your opinion at all, just throwing that out there.

Yea, California sucks so much that Barrett won't do business there even with LE that bought his products in the past. California has made it too hard for a lot of companies in the firearms trade to do business there. So yes, you guys that live there and let it happen are now screwed. I seen it coming 20 years ago and got the hell out.

I noticed a lot of {out of stock} lately on all popular ammo.

My goal is buy enough to keep my son and I shooting recreationally for the next 2 years. I see dark and/or expensive times ahead regarding guns and ammo.

Until after november I think people are gonna do the same thing they done in 2008. Buy up everything they can get their hands on and drive the prices up. No matter who gets elected we will still be able to buy guns, ammo and reloading supplies january 1st 2013. It doesnt really make sense to me but thats the way it is. Fortunatly Im stocked up on everything and dont have to spend very much at all to stay busy shooting and reloading.
