Best price on Mini-14 Tactical?

Anyone know who's currently offering the best price for a new Mini-14 Tactical?

Thanx in advance...

You may call Academy Sports and ask or check some Wal Marts. I've seen average price around $650 but you could look in the For Sale section of this forum also.

I work at Walmart in the sporting goods department. You CANNOT find a SKU number for the Tactical. I have looked and tried to input numbers that correspond with the Tacticals. They are not there. You can get the Ranch in all 3 calbers but no EVIL BLACK RIFLES. Ones with flash hiders anyway. Absolutely nothing AR 15. kwg

Go to your local gun shop! Thats where I found mine, slightly used for $450. I wanted the mini 14 deluxe but Davidson's was asking $800 so I just swapped the synthetic stock for a laminated wood stock. If you find one in your local shop you won't have to pay for the transfer which can be $20 plus 10% of the firearm purchased (at least that is what it is here in RI). Shop around now, avoid buyers remorse when you don't see one later for a better deal.

I did see a Remington AR at Wal-Mart. Collapsible stock, no FH. However, it wasn't black (it was camo), which I suppose makes it less evil.

Point well taken.

But OTOH, you got a heck of a deal on that Tactical, bro. I frequent my local gunshops & have never even seen a used one for sale, much less at a price like that. I'd buy every one I could find for $450!

You must be shopping at D&L? Try Universal Firearms in Wakefield. Lots of old surplus stuff, and if you have to order, transfer is $25 flat rate. That +10% is BS!

I paid $525 plus shipping and FFL, turned out to be a little over 6, just about one year ago. I have a 581 tactical that I put a wood stock on (courtesy of the generous edorfox! ).

Crocifers Mini is the best looking Mini on the forum..hands down..He has a place at my fire anytime.

even if he is a Yankee, and a Marine to boot.

Yes Sir! D&L is by far the best gun shop in RI for selection. Prices for ammo and accessories are a bit steep thou. I have never been in a gun shop out of RI so I really can't compare. But with our semi liberal gun laws here I would imagine D&L is small compared to shops in Arizona, Montana, Vermont, NH, etc. Thanks for the tip Crowcifier, I will drop by Universal and give them a gander. I have bought two used guns (1 never fired, the mini 14 fired a few times at most) from D&L at great prices. Buying a used firearm has it's advantages in that if anything is wrong with it, you just take it back or swap it. If you buy a new firearm and don't like it, you have to sell it back at a fraction of what you paid because it is now used. LittleBill if I were u, I would try Gun Broker, or Gun Listings America. Sometimes you can find an auction that you are the only bidder, and get a great deal. Good luck man, I love my tactical!

I know this isn't the model you were looking to get, but it is the law enforcement version (with suppressor) and in stainless for $499 with free shipping from Bud's Gun Shop. I was looking at these until I found mine, and they have gotten great reviews. I would pull the trigger on one of these if I had the money, who knows how many they got left. Just throwing it out there man.
