CDNN has Mini 14's in black tactical stocks, GB and regular models, thin barreled trade in's from $399. for blue to $489 in a GB stainless steel.
They also have real used Ruger mags for $15.00 each marked LE or new ones for $25.00, non LE

Both have rear peep sights, not ranch models. All listed as VG.

You can most likely see them at TARGETSPORTSINC.COM

Not a bad price, but the UPS driver would have to leave that stock at the end of the driveway. I'm afraid the stupid would rub off on me. But wooden stocks are easy enough to find. Parkerize a blued rifle (if you have the ability to do it yourself), add a $105 walnut 95% fitted stock, and you'd have a dandy rifle for $500.

LOL... I was thinking the same thing. Although it looks like you can get one with the Hogue for the same price.

It also looks like they have used factory LE marked Ruger 20's for $12.99 and "used refinished" for $17.99 on page 77, 87 & 89 of their catalog. I think I'd still rather buy a new one from Hoffman's for $19.99

I wonder where they are getting these trade-in's from? The GB's at Bud's Gun Shop are Nebraska state police trade-in's, and I've heard that they are decent shape.

Guys, one thing about the LE guns that some of you may not know.

USUALLY, the PD guns have been back to Ruger a few times over their life and they have been maintained very well.

MOST of them saw very little use and rode around in PD cars or have been stored in the dept's armory for several years, especially the last 10 while they have been switching to AR15 type rifles.

I got a Mini 14 GB OKLA Highway Patrol rifle that went back to Ruger 3 times[verified by Ruger] and is a very tight gun. Finish isn't perfect but I can live with it.

Merry Christmas, mp.

My 196 series Mini was a police turn in gun. Hardly looks shot at all. Best of all unlike most it does not launch brass a mile, about 5 feet in front of me and 1 foot to the right Had some surface rust on the stainless, but scotch brite pad took care of that while retaining finish

With good mags, it never misses a beat. Prefers PMI 20 rounders and Ruger 5 rounders so far. The John Masen 10 rounder works decent, too!

Pretty good price for a mini, IMO...

Arizona Game & Fish just let go of a few hundred Mini's of all types. They got a fat contract with S&W for M&P's. I bet those are them.
