Accu-strut and ASI ajustable gas block

I took a gamble and added the Accu-struct to my Mini-14 with an ASI adjustable gas block. Don't know how it shoots yet but real happy with the look and fit. One of the pictures show that an allen wrentch does fit if you position the strut just right. The look really does make it look like a smaller version of the M1A. Had to show a family picture of Mini-14 with his "Garand" father.

your using an ASI gas block not a Ruger gas block for 1,
and the accu-strut is designed to fit over the lower part of the gas block 2,
thats why it fits not correctly but kinda fits.
Anyway good luck with that set up and let us know how it worked for you, but keep in mind it is not fitted in the intended configuration for optimum performance.

Even if you have to buy the ASI gas block, it will solve the problem, good job for those who want to spend the money.
Check with KKINA, he maybe able to slightly modify the rod for a better fit.

They are looking for a solution up in the accurizing section, go up there and attach a link to the post you have made. Someone will get the problem fixed one way or another if they really want to.

Best Regards, John K

Aimhigh,
please take no offence to my comments, I was just pointing out some facts as I know it.

I think you will find a solution and I commend your efforts, by the way I like the "Garand Father"

There may not be a solution if you want both, but where there is a will, there is a way. It just depends on how bad someone really wants one, will it cost a lot, is there the funding and is there enough profit to make it worthwhile.
Almost anything can be done with thought and money and money is usually the kicker.
I do not have a strut on my Mini except for a homemade one and I know I could make a changable gas block work with mine.
I have not looked at the other designs closely enough to render any type of real opinion, so I'm just trying to get a few to really look at it. it may not be posible given what I said earlier in the post.

Best Regards, John K

No offence taken. I knew that the fit would not look like the advertisements. The chance I was taking was where or not I could still adjust the gas block with the Accu-strut attached. It worked!

Went shooting today. Sorry no pictures but I emptied two 20-round magazines pretty quickly to heat up the barrel. The group was nothing to brag about, but it was "round" with no signs of verticle stringing. I'm happy with how the Mini shoots and how it looks.

I'll get this to the accuracy board soon.
