Question about Hoffman's in Newington, CT

Hoffman's in Newington, CT lists a 20 round factory Ruger Mini 30 mag on thier website for $24.99. Sounds a little too good to be true, as I emailed them with a read receipt attached and they indeed read the email but never responded to my inquiry. Has anybody here done any business with them, mail order or in person?

I go there often. I've gotten quite a few mags from them. They had a buy 4 get 1 deal last year. I've gotten 4-5 guns from them when I lived in ct and prices were good too.

Bought two from from Cheaper Than Dirt for $76.56 shipped, went to order a couple more and found they were out of stock. Many thanks for the info compadres, just ordered a couple from Hoffman's for $59.98 shipped. Works out to $29.99 each.

Scott Hoffman is good people, as were Dino and Mort. I highly recommend Hoffman's. And if you are in the area, do yourself a favor and visit in person. You won't find a gun dealer that is more fair than Hoffman's

I've purchased, in person, several Mini-14 factory mags from Hoffman's. They're the real deal. I've also purchase handguns from them and got a great deals. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them.

I had never heard of Hoffman's till a few minutes ago from a link in another thread. They have photos of their store on their page, and WOW. Wish I had access to a store like that. Impressive. They have the 20 round mags for $19.95 right now. I clicked on the buy it now button just to see what shipping would be, but unfortunately, itís one of those sites you have to put in all your credit card info just to find out what shipping is, so I backed out.

For those that have ordered magazines from them, how much was shipping, and do they ship via UPS, or USPS?

Shipping is $10, I haven't received any information about who they are using to ship. Bought 4 20rnd mags for $89 plus change. Great deal.

Thanks for that info. I like. $10 is fairly typical, and UPS is my preferred shipper.

Thanks for the link, but it says USPS for firearms shipping, and nothing for non firearm shipping, so it leads one to believe USPS for everything, yet Wheelrunner said his came via UPS. Quite confusing. I use mailing address for USPS, and shipping address for UPS. Different addresses, so itís important to me to know how things are shipped when I place an order.

I've been buying Ruger 20 rounders for $25.00.
Why not just buy the Ruger mags. The price has been a lot better on them in the last few months.
I can't comment on the mags you are talking about as I have never used one, but I do know the Ruger made mags work.

Best Regards, John K

I think we're only talking about original Ruger factory mags in this thread.

The big brown truck came Monday bearing my Ruger factory 20 round Mini 30 mags from Hoffman's. $24.99 each is the best deal I have found yet. Now that everybody knows they will probably get sold out quick

Not a complaint, simply an observation. From personal experience, if you are ordering online wait a couple o days after you place the order then call them for the UPS tracking number. Other than the initial order receipt they are kinda slow on getting emails out.
