repeatability of Warne QD rings for Mini ?

Warne offers Maxima QD scope rings to fit the Mini-14.

Has anyone tested the repeatability of the Warne rings after removing and replacing the scope?

Just wondering if they're better than the factory rings, which I'm not particularly pleased with as far as repeatability. (But I'm not sure if the issue is due to the rings themselves, or if it's the nature of Ruger's cast integral bases.)

I want a setup where as the scope can be removed and replaced without POI shifting more than a couple of inches at 100 yards (which I've experienced with other setups). I've noticed POI shifts of 4" to 6" using the factory rings.

Any feedback regarding the Warne rings would be appreciated.

Thanks

I can let you know in a couple of months. I have mine setup with the Warne QD rings and a Burris Short-Mag 4x20. Haven't had the chance to do a before and after with it to see how much it changes, but it's something i've been meaning to do.

I wasn't too thrlled about using QDs on the Ruger mounts, so I opted for mounting them to a Weigand rail.

I've been using Burris QD mounts on the rail and have been satisfied. I can't tell the point of aim moving while mounting and dismounting the scope, but then again, this ain't a bench gun either!

I have two scopes set up in warne qd rings and switch between the two and irons several times a week with no shift in poi. I've tested them off a bench too. Worth their weight.

Just a follow-up...

I bought the Warne QD rings and tested them. Initial indication is that they do indeed hold their zero after being removed / replaced.

I was using a 4x scope with a thick reticle, along with not-so-accurate ammo, and could not see a POI shift at 100 yards. I suppose a dedicated target shooter with better optics and ammo might be able to identify a potential shift, but the Warne rings are unquestionably better than Ruger rings concerning repeatability.

Cheapest place I found was EFG Tactical Supply, an Ebay retailer. Think I paid $69.95 + $2.50 shipping.

I consider it money well spent for my needs. Thanks again to those that offered input.

I got both pairs for 45$ at cabelas. They were for m77mkii. One med and one high ring per pair. The high pair works with my long range scope and the mediums works with my mid range scope.

That's good thinking and a great price if they are the QD lever rings.

The retailer I mentioned sells the Warne non-QD rings for considerably less than the QD version (might have to use the store search feature on this link to access the rings):
