USA mags

I bought some U.S.A magazines for the Mini 14, a 40 rnd and a 20 rnd.The 40 rnd was stainless or nickel plated and fit well and cycled OK on function check but I have not live fired with them. The 20 rnd was blue and did not fit too well and needed a little adjustment. Also purchased a 15 rnd P89 mag for my Ruger 9mm carbine. It cycles OK but doesn't hold the bolt back when empty: however, the factory mag that came with the carbine doesn't always hold the bolt back and neither does the Meggar mag I have.

Have heard that the USA mags are good and bad and want some additional info if possible. the 40 rnd mags look exactly like the 30 rnd sst pictures on the photo gallery page of this forum.

The dealer had several more 40 rnd mags at agood price and I would consider buying the rest and reselling them at a gun show coming up next week and also putting them on the web if they don't have a bad rep. Any help here?

Thumbs up

USA mags seem to work good in my mini30.

If your local dealer has them for the mini30 would you send me the store/dealer name and phone number ?

For my P89 I have 2 Ramline 9085's, a 20 and 2 30 rnds, all seem ok.

All the ones I saw were for 223 cal. None for 30 cal, however, another gun shop I frequent has them. URL is http://www.pistolandpawn.com/
You will have to contact him to see if he will ship. he mainly does just local business, but he does have the web site.

I have used USAs with some success. They occassionally double feed, but you can reduce that by tightening the feed lips just a hair.
