Mine does. Just red loctite the screws on one side of the mount, after you get everything centered. I switch back in forth from irons to my Bushnell red dot. The GG&G rail seems to return to zero close enough for me.
It looks like the NcStar mount is sold under many other names. From the few reviews I've read, many mention the threads stripping upon first time installation, with minimal force. The design looks nice, but the quality obviously isn't good. Looks like they have a Gen II, but I won't take the chance.
Will look into the GG&G rail, allthough it has less rail estate it seems like a better quality product. It also has less things in way of the ejection.
I'm going to mount a regular eye relief scope, so a scout rail is out of the question. Also, I've had a scout rail before, but sold it mainly because it got really hot. Burned my fingers.
I have an NC Starr rail on my rifle and did not want to remove the rear sight so a hack saw, file, and a little cold bluing made it work. I use blue locktite on everything. So far no threads stripped or loose scope.
I have a GG&G pic rail on mine, it sits higher up and is extremely solid and feels like it came stock with the mini. I wonder how they compare.
