last shot hold open ?

Greetings fellow Rugerites hey I have tried looking on the interweb etc... but can't seem to find any info on how to get the 10 22 bolt to hold open after the last shot. I am finding it a major pain as I don't count my shots at the range and go bang, bang, click but then need to open the bolt to check if there is any more ammo in the mag etc.... Mini 14 and 30 both are great as they stay open after the last shot.
Any info is greatly received

HawkTech Arms has what you are looking for, but requires modified magazines. I'm not sure if the rifle will function with non-modified mags after installation. I was after the same, but gave up as I felt the cure was worse than the problem. FWIW the 10/22 was designed to be dry fired.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Crow, I was just after an easy fix for it and don't want to do too much farting around
I think I might pass on this mod then. As I've got a takedown 1022 and an "ordinary" one I want to be able to swap mags between them so don't want some for 1 but not the other. Could get very confusing for my poor little brain

Yes, the rifle is not designed to do that. Probably should forget it.
