I purchased my first .22, scoped it with a Nikon rimfire and DNZ mount, fired it at the range twice, and have to say I am very impressed with it. A lot of fun to shoot, accurate, and alot of aftermarket parts available. I am one happy camper!
Well, you picked a good one for your first! I like that stock. I almost bought a multicam takedown from Dicks, but the rifle was stainless. Kind of defeats the camo purpose.
If you're in a gun-friendly state, you should try the Ruger BX25 magazines. Best 25 bangers for the 10/22 I've ever had. Butler Creeks are okay, but BX25's are worth the extra scratch, in my book!
First thing I'd do, is tear it down and take a Dremel to the bolt catch (or buy the aftermarket ones). Most aggravating thing, I've ever encountered on any firearm.
I got sick and tired of the bolt getting stuck open, after the last shot fired.
