Red Dot Sight for Python

A friend of mine has a .357 Colt Python that he wants to mount a holographic red dot sight on. He doesn't however want drill and tap it, so is there any sort of mounting system that just clamps on?

I'm a rifle not a pistol guy but I figured someone on here would have suggestions.

Thanks

Weaver makes one that clamps around the barrel in the front and uses the rear sight grove. I have never used it so I could not say how it works.

You can check it out at MidwayUSA. They show it as in stock. I don't know how to link or I would link the page.

FWIW: I have a B square on an older model Ruger Redhawk 44mag. It uses a clamp on the barrel in the front. It's been on that revolver for several years now and I have no problems with it holding zero while using 300 grain bullets. I use locktite on all the screws when I install a mount.
