My everyday carry

I have lots of revolvers, but this is the revolver I carry most. It's a 4 inch barrel 44mag built by Bowen Classic Arms. It's one handy little carry gun and I have taken woodchucks, foxes, coyotes, black bears and one moose with it.

Who, I live pretty far back in the woods, (3 hours to the nearest city). I am much more likely to be molested by a moose than I am by a gang of thugs. Then again I wouldn't fret much if I found myself in a city with this revolver loaded with 44spl's.

I don't carry a SA as often as I once did because I now live in really "hot" country and my smallest SA is a 3 1/2" Ruger Vaquero Sheriff's model and needs a cover. It is definitely not a pocket pistol. Most of the time now I carry some sort of City gun that is easy to hide. Unfortunately City guns do not give me the same peace of mind. Great choice in guns MAC4570. What brand of ammo is that in the picture?

When I carry a revolver, it's usually my 442. I'll put it in a pocket holster at times I don't want to wear a holster on a belt.

When I carry, my weapon of choice is my Smith and Wesson PD325, the space age revolver in .45acp via moon clips. Hope I never have to use it.

Hi, I have a number of revolvers and semiautos. If a firearm is not convenient to carry, it won't be carried. I like my .45LCs and .45 ACPs, but find my .38 Special S&W lightweight (11oz) 337 easy and convenient to carry in a front jeans pocket. Equipped with a laser grip sight that allows firing from any position or hand brings value to carrying the somewhat low power P+ .38 special 5-shot. Getting hits on a critical area is more important than caliber.

If I know for sure that I will need a gun, I will always take a rifle, not a handgun.

Regards,
Richard

Ruger LCR in .38+P is my wife's favorite carry gun now...and I'm starting to carry my LCR in .357 Magnum more than any of my other guns. Its so light its hard now to have an excuse not to carry at all times. And its surprisingly fun to shoot even with .357 rounds! Going to upgrade the front sight on mine to a tritium big dot for rapid accuisition, and the wifey wants me to get her Crimson Trace grips for hers...she likes lasers.

This is my everyday carry weapon of choice...a highly polished (MAAS works wonders!) stainless steel 4" Ruger Security Six, Millet sights front and rear, Hogue wooden monogrips, and one of my slick trigger jobs using a lot of oil and polishing stones, and modified Wolff springs.

I'd trust this gun in any combat situation, and I'm FAST with my speedloaders. Probably faster than most folks switching out a magazine.

I carry in a Galco Fletch holster usually, sometimes in a Galco shoulder rig.

Find myself carrying the .357 LCR more and more now though...so convenient to just stick it in a pocket!

Two for the road.

There are some fine looking S/A revolvers listed above, if I am out on the property I carry my Heritage Rough Rider single 6 in 22 Magnum but if I am going into town I carry my Taurus 24/7 Pro Compact in 9mm , 17+1 round cap, and laser sighted for those low light conditions, she is light weight, compact and easy to draw.

Some day I will add a big bore single 6 to my collection but until then I like my little Heritage Rough Rider with Mother of pearl bird head grips for snake protection and punching paper at the range.

Bottom Left (Rough Rider 22mag), Bottom Right (Taurus 9mm).

While I am not a SA fan normaly, when I saw this, I thought very cool. I like the SS, but then Im a SS nut. With some bone or antler grips, very awesome!

I saw this, and liked it a lot too! 10 shots, but that front sight has to go.
