Big Mistake

I just purchased a Charter Arms .22 magnum Pathfinder and took to the range yesterday. First shot was double action that hit where I was aiming. Attemted a second shot double action and I could not take up any trigger slack at all and noticed that the cylinder did not rotate. I hand fed the cylinder to the next round and again the gun fired, but failed to rotate the cylinder. Now, I am really upset and rotate the cylinder to the next round and fire single action and and finished firing the rest single action. Now I opened the cylinder and attempt to eject the empty rounds and they are like welded in the cylinder. After working with the ejecting rod for several minutes, they finally came lose. The gun is now on it's way to Charter Arms.

I hate to hear that. I have never had a new gun screw up on me like that (knock on wood), but I know how aggrivated you must be.

Oh, not good. Were you able to check/test before you purchase it? Because sometimes you might pick the wrong/damaged one. But I guess it has warranty that you can use..

Update on "Big Mistake"

I called Charter Arms and had a good talk with a rep. and they email me a mailing label for UPS and return at no cost and will attempt to fix all problems, if not a new weapon. So, I have shipped it back and now waiting to see what happens next. Thanks for the comments gentlemen.

Update

Received my "mistake" back from Charter Arms a few days ago and was surprised. The revolver now retates correctly after they fixed the headspace, and the ejection works alot better although still tight. So, I will assume that I have six shots and hope I can eject the empties for follow up shots.
