I inherited a Dan Wesson 357 Magnum revolver from my late father. As far as I know it was manufactured circa 1980.

I am aware that these revolvers are not considered "collectibles." However, it is dead on accurate, has a nice crisp trigger, and since it was Dad's I am keeping it and enjoying it.

Anyone know where I can get some nice wood grips for this revolver? It presently has some butt-ugly rubber grips that just don't work for me.

Any other info about this cannon would be appreciated. By the way, it is the blued version and sports a 6" barrel.

Gunbroker.com or fleabay usually have a selection of used D/W grips. Some are better than others, so check out the pics carefully. Just remember, you have a "small frame" revolver in D/W parlance. (vs. "large frame" for 44 mag etc.)

They are excellent revolvers, very accurate and built really well. I've owned 3 of them.

You should be able to order the grips, Hogue makes some decent grips for them.
