Mini 14 brass catchers

I'm a reloader with an NRA mini. This thing really flings out the brass. I'm also a reloader. Found a catcher (looks like a hard shell) for $37 at The Country Shed. Never heard of them. Not listed with the 'phone company. Anyone have experience with them or this product? Anyone know of any other brass catchers for the Mini 14?

The E&L brass catchers work quite well, better IMO than the mesh bag type. I've got 'em for Mini, 1911 and M1 Carbine. If you want to order directly (same price as Country Shed), here's the E&L website:

Mini 14 brass catcher

Been using the brass catcher for a while. Beats looking for brass. With a scope on my Mini, I can't use the velcro. Works anyway.

Can anyone who has used the E&L please elaborate? Is it more of a pain than it's worth? Does it affect feeding / ejection / reliability? Is it easy to put on and take off? Seems like it just hangs on the receiver but you have to remove it to use the operating rod. I guess you hang it on the receiver after you've chambered the first round and you remove it after the mag is empty.
