Does anyone know of a website or other medium where Oregonian private citizens can buy, sell or trade with other Oregonian's?
There is a California Website that has a classified section that does the same; however in CA you must conduct all transactions or private party transfer through an FFL. You can see it at www.calguns.net
Oregon does not have that restriction as we are a bit freer here.
If not, this is something that I would like to see if we could get going.
Think its a good idea to post transactions like that where its so easy to see it all anonymously? Or do you think the screen name and PM functions keep things sufficiently confidential?
I have tried craigslist before, and because its "against the rules" my postings are always "flagged"(removed) very soon. However, I always get lots of calls for the few minutes that they are on. That shows me that we need a new website for Oregon/Washington for free gun sales. I used pdxforsale.com for a long time but they have been gone for awhile, also gorge.net now requires a gorge net account so I can't sell there any more. If I knew anything about computers I would start my own site, but I can hardly turn the thing on so I guess thats out of the question. I trade around alot, and I always have something for sale, My local Nickel ads is cheap to advertise but out here in eastern oregon , not that much ad coverage. We need the help of a gun-nut who can also build a website and has time to manage it. Anyone?
I doubt there would be any liability, but I'm not a lawyer, and that wouldn't stop someone from naming them in a lawsuit anyway. They probably do not believe anyone should have guns, they don't want to listen to the bleating leftards complain if they see anything about guns on the list, and they wouldn't want to make anyone uncomfortable by having them see anything about guns listed anyway. Just my ever-humble opinion.
You could always take a look anyway. Someone may have listed something of interest somewhat cryptically, so it is not obvious what it relates to. Ultimate payback: using their ignorance against them.
I didn't think that they allowed evil guns to be on there site? I also heard that they were purchased by EBay, which would explain it.
I will do some more research, thanks for the input.

they arent owned by ebay, the people flag items they deem dangerous..aka firearms and such. Funny thing is, people post bows and arrows on there all the time. Those things are more dangerous than a firearm as you cant hear when someone is shooting you. W/e
i have had my ar-15 on craigs list for a while now. only one contact. what section is best to put it under? i have it under the general section but i was wondering if there is a better place to put it.
friskydingo,
looked on craigs list for it, couldn't find it. Portland OR
maybe they pulled it, no firearm zone.
outdoorstrader.com second vote good place to list.
Could post it in the for sale section, complete firearms, on perfectunion.com here also.
you just dont post things for sale that say Ar-15 fer sale! that gets pulled rather quick! you have to use code words like.... @R-15, or xx-15 or by caliber (just type in something like .223 or 7.62)
It's a new and fast-growing website, with messageboards and for-sale boards, all free. Mostly nice people, NorthwestFirearms.com ....................elsullo
