Tampa is spared big wind

SloJo canceled his visit.

Vice President Biden has cancelled his trip Monday to Tampa, site of next week’s Republican National Convention, and to other Florida cities, citing safety issues related to Tropical Storm Isaac.

I believe that there will still be plenty of wind, both there and in Charlotte Hyperbole and posturing will be on both sides, use to be that these things meant something. Now they are just big useless events.

Can't argue with that. Don't understand why either side gains a post-convention bounce since nothing that isn't preordained was accomplished.

Because John Q. Public turns on his tv expecting to see Wipeout or 30 Rock, only to discover that they have been preempted by something called a political convention. He thinks it's a new reality show, so he watches it. When the survey team calls and asks who he will vote for, he says whoever the candidate is that week because he doesn't know or remember who the other candidates are. Hence, the latest party to hold their convention gets a bounce. And John Q. thinks he just voted for the new American Idol. True story.

Are you making this crap up , as those Republicans here will believe just about anything ?

No doubt they'll be wanting to meet up with " John Q. Public " as most of them are " JOHNs " of a sexual nature of course !
