The people of Arizona have spoken but that doesnt deter Sotero. Im sure he will sue or sign another executive order. I like Brewer's grit.

Great to hear this.

Deny 'em every one! Perhaps when the nation gets rid of Obama and Co. we can get rid of 'em.

I think the governor's action will lead to a legal confrontation that will help the courts decide if Obama's executive order is constitutional or not. Good move by the AZ governor.

I honestly have to say that until we elect someone to the White House and other federal posts, like a Jan Brewer, this country will never recover. The current political machines, the D's and R's, are both guilty when it comes to allowing them to come here and stay here. The D's just happen to be more guilty of it.

As long as our idiots in government keep offering free stuff for Illegals, they WILL KEEP COMING HERE.

I can't blame them.

Let's see.. Free stuff. Free medical care.

Is it any wonder that 12 to 15 million ILLEGALS live here?

When the handouts stop, my guess is 10 million or more will go away. The ones that stay or join up and serve in the military or build lives here? I'm fine with them staying. (That's how my ancestory ended up here, we built lives here.)

What's screwed up, and it's what Jan FIXED with her very bold action, is the handouts have to end. No free stuff for people who are not citizens of this nation. (And being born here is not all it takes folks, that was never part of of the deal, and was ONLY done to end the nonsense around slavery in the 1800's.)

A problem I might add, that was DRIVEN BY DEMOCRATS, the ULTIMATE RACISTS IN US HISTORY.

Yep, look it up folks, the KKK and other hate groups were just about completely started/owned/operated by Democrats, and it was not until the Republicans came along with Abe, and ended Slavery officially in our nation, and a civil war was fought, did this nation start to turn the corner on freedom's put under the boot heel of Democrats.... And today? The new Plantation Owners are the current crop of "D's" in power.. They don't have slave shacks, they have Public Housing.. they don't have whips to punish, but have learned that giving away free stuff, and food is the best way to enslave generations of voters who keep them in power.

What's really sad is that the people today who vote these "masters" into power, and listen to dumbasses like Biden say "back in chains" don't see the reality they ARE IN CHAINS in every way to masters like Biden, who mock them at every turn, and use them in every possible way for their own power.

If reality was taught to our nation, the power these Democratic buffoons lord over the people they claim to be representing would quickly evaporate.

You're lying again, Adjuster, and using the same racist "code" that today's GOP does. Nearly all the racists abandoned the Democratic party after LBJ pushed civil rights legislation through congress - and make no mistake, such legislation would have never passed without LBJ's efforts. By the time Nixon entered office that process was well underway, and the so-called "Reagan revolution" completed it.

You have been listening to Toure' again Freebie .. There is no "code "on the right. Little Joe Goebbels .. Why are you so desperate these days ? Throwing that race card constantly aren't you? It is good to see because it shows we are winning. Your ideology offers nothing so you have to deflect and blame and scream racism.

Time magazine ceased to be credible a long time ago . You sound like Frank Marshall Davis ...It must suck being you and going through the world looking at everything from the lens of victimhood, racism and guilt .

The right wing is so blatantly racist now that there is no choice but to discuss it.

And yes, all right wingers are tainted by it, even those not personally racist. Because they do not hold their own accountable. In fact, this sub-forum is a miniscule but representative example of exactly that (it took his posting of a Nazi-era caricature for anyone here to call out DH for anything).

And still no right winger has called him on his persistent racism against non-whites.

She appears a perfectly stupid nit-wit holding that sign.

Besides which, it can't be done. Republican citizens are legal and may not be deported though I'm sure you wish otherwise, Freesw the Gullible.

You see unlike Republicans, illegals are criminals. They have broken the law by entering this country in a manner contrary to its laws. Republicans aren't lawbreakers. Illegal aliens are lawbreakers. There is a difference between the two beside the fact that illegals mostly vote for the contemptible Democrats.

Myself? I'm a bit right of the average contemptibly mushy Republican sell-out so prevalent in the halls of Congress these days. You can't deport me for holding that position either, Freesw the Gullible.

Just letting you know that.

Illegal aliens don't vote. The Bush administration ran a campaign to root out illegal immigrant voter fraud from 2002 to 2005. The result? 14 convictions.

As for deporting Republicans I have a better idea. Let the ones responsible for unjust policies experience the results of those policies. Let them work without restroom breaks, sprayed by chemicals from above, cheated of already low wages. Let them have no alternative but the emergency room when serious illness or injury strikes. Let them face routine police brutality. Let them be rounded up and stockaded.

But you are right, bmcgilvray, such redress of injustices are impossible, today.

Mañana? If the perpetrators of capitalism's systematic crimes keep at it, people will have had enough, and things may turn out very differently. You only imagine you are aggrieved.

1Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. 2Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. 3Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure! 4Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. 5You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. 6You have condemned and put to death the righteous man; he does not resist you.
James 5 NASB

20And turning His gaze toward His disciples, He began to say, “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. 21“Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. 22“Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. 23“Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets. 24“But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full. 25“Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. 26“Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.

Tell you guys a funny story.

I was 18, and working for a concrete company that had a large contract in Anahiem. We were putting in the curbs and sidewalks, and light poll base/foundations.

The code required a 36" diameter hole that was 5' deep for each light pole. The light pole also had a conduit set into it, so wires for the lights would run up the middle, and bolts to attach the pole base.

The first day, I was tasked to dig these holes. With a pick, shovel and tape measure. It was hot, dirty work, and I dug 4 holes in 8 hours.

As I normally was being paid to finish concrete, I was sort of ticked off, as this was not what I normally did.. And my boss, who was the son of the company owner, said "Get used to it, life sucks, and you have 10 more to dig."

I asked him what he paid me today? He said 200.00, same as usual for a day of finish work. (We were there over 10 hours every day, start at 6:00am on the job, so you were up at 0dark 30 to get there before the concrete trucks show up at 7 or 8 am depending on the city noise laws.)

So, I asked him if he was willing to pay me 200.00 per every 4 four, and on all 10 remaning foundations? He said sure. (50.00 per hole.)

The next morning, I brought all my picks, shovels and tape measures, and I asked him to swing by the local dirt lot, where a few hundred illegals stand every morning to get work.

I hopped out, and "hired" 4 guys who looked ready to work hard, and before I had them hop in the truck bed, I explained they would be digging holes 36" wide, and 5' deep, and be paid 25.00 for each hole. They were excited to make the money.

As we drove the rest of the way to the parking lot, my "boss" said "you learn quickly!" And laughed his head off as he said his dad would be pleased, yet pissed he did not think of it himself on this job.

When we arrived, his dad had a crew of his own there... Not from the same lot, as he lived from another direction, and between the two sets of illegals, we "profited" from the cheap labor, and I made money that day and never broke a sweat. The Owners crew of illegals formed up the curbs and sidewalks, and we moved the pour up a few days since it was all done sooner than expected. (We did in a day what I was told would be two more days.)

But I did have to pay these guys cash out of pocket, and then paid taxes on the money I made, so like any good business man, I risked my capital, and made my profit in the long run.

I have zero problems with day labor, or even cheap labor type jobs, but when you have a system that gives these folks benefits for just being here, free healthcare, food, housing and educations, then it's not a simple deal anymore is it?

See, I paid the taxes. I was the citizen who gets the final bill for the "entitlements" these folks get. Sure, they dug the holes, and yes, I profited from it. (As did my employer since the job was done sooner, we got on to other jobs sooner, and ulimtately make more money that way for the owner and his son, but they never let me do that again.)

What is funny is that the 500.00 I made off those 10 holes, after the 250.00 was paid to the four illegal guys, and I paid taxes on the rest, I really did not make much more than normal. (But I did not have to dig the holes... that was key for me at the time.)

I've picked lemons/oranges and avacados with illegals, under the table, and made money. It's not terrible wages either, I made 12.00 per hour, under the table, in 1983.

Those guys I paid 25.00 for each hole? They were all done in less than 6 hours. That's about 10.40 per hour each.

Not too shabby for digging holes.

I made 20.00 per hour for my 10 hour+ day that really is more like 12 hours long, have to supply fuel, vehicle, tools and pay taxes etc.

When it's all said and done, the guys making money under the table do pretty dang well.

So please, don't try and tell me that "illegals" make crappy wages. They do just fine, and everyone who's close to this system knows it.

it's why they keep coming here.

Free stuff, and good wages. End the free stuff, and keep those that are willing to stay and work for just the wages.

I have zero problems with them, since they are just like me, working to get where I want in this world.

When I was a teen I worked for my Uncle a couple months during the grape harvest season. My Father and I would drive and operate the trucks, tractors, and forklift. My Uncle would always hire day laborers to pick grapes and do other menial tasks. They did work their asses off and I'll give them credit for that, but I learned you can never turn your back on them or sh!t disappears.

One morning while picking, the grape container I was towing through the field was almost full. These guys wouldn't stop dumping buckets even if it's overflowing. I didn't know what to do so I gave the clipboard with the bucket count to one of the pickers so I could run back to find out what the delay was for the next container. I get back a few minutes later and the guy standing there holding the clipboard has an extra 5 bucket credits next to his name. Pretty stupid to think I wouldn't notice the different handwriting.

99% of the vineyard were wine grapes, but there were a couple vines of table grapes planted separately next to the house. We stop for a lunch break and as they're leaving about 10 of the pickers walk by and just strip the vines helping themselves. I was like WTF? It's like they were in the habit of taking everything that wasn't nailed down. It was a fairly secluded area and there was a full-time caretaker but there had to be padlocks on everything or it grew legs.

Personally, I'll never hire a day laborer or someone I don't know. To me they're more of a liability than an asset. I simply don't trust strangers. Maybe I'm paranoid but there's just too many con artists and nut jobs out there.

Not that it's a foolproof plan either, but I'd much rather pay friends or relatives 2-3 times as much if they're willing to help me out.
