California SB 249
I'm only aware of this because I cruise calguns on occassion. Seems that this bill has been revised to make whole classes of currently owned arms illegal and requires owners to dispose of them before July 2013. There are no grandfathered exemptions or compensation for turning them in for destruction which is required.

If this passes, there are rumblings from the sponsors that they will next target bolt action center fire rifles and most all shotguns. Seems that anything magazine fed and semi auto is likely in there sights for the future.

I am amazed to read posters there that are outraged about this, and in the next sentence say they have Liberal viewpoints about all other subjects. I just find that mindset totally amazing. How can a thinking person not realize that the Progressive Liberal agenda requires that the general population be disarmed. Liberal gun owners actually help put the noose around their necks every time they vote, and then have the nerve to complain about it.

I'm not savvy enough to link. If you have never visited Calguns.net, I recommend it. Should be easy to find the postings as they are all fired up about it there.

Also, if you are not aware of www.borderlandbeat, I suggest that one also. VERY graphic articles about the Narco-violence in Mexico. I've even viewed several be-headings there. Stuff you'll never hear about in the U.S.. Let us know what you think about borderland beat.

Just another one of those back-door sliding, retroactive seizures of firearms made in the last 10 years by gun manufacturers forced to comply with all the idiotic California legislation. All these guns were approved for general sale by the DOJ and BATF so now the notorious slime-ball Leland Yee wants them all turned in for destruction. No grandfather clauses...not even for LEOs.
