A majority of Americans favor tax cuts for all, including the wealthy, according to a new poll.
The McClatchy-Marist poll found that 52 percent of registered voters want all of the Bush tax cuts extended, including those for incomes above $250,000; 43 percent just want cuts extended for incomes below $250,000.
That poll's an anomaly. Nearly all polls for years have shown a majority favor increasing tax rates for the rich. Why? Because the rich don't pay their fair share towards the maintenance of the government that makes it possible for them to preserve their wealth and power. It's that simple.
If the government ceased to favor the rich, then perhaps the current rates would make more sense. As it is, the rest of us subsidize the furtherance of the interests of the plutocracy, the uber-parasites of the world.

House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday that his Republican-led chamber is "more than willing" to make Democrats vote on the President Barack Obama's plan to extend former president George W. Bush's tax cuts for all but the wealthiest Americans. He also is bringing up the GOP's proposal to extend the tax cuts for everyone.
Good. This should be a campaign issue. Bring it to the fore.
I think we should start taxing the poor , before they buy drugs , booze , liquor, beer , new vehicles , gold & silver stuff and all the other crap they seem to purchase while being supported by those of us here who pay for it all !
