The reality is, low fuel prices, and cheap energy drives the worlds #1 economy that provides healthcare for the poor/illegals, jobs for the middle class and innovations that have cured many of the once leathal afflictions you now take for granted, like Polio or small pox.
Big oil, big industry and cheap energy are what drives the modern world, and makes it possible to grow enough food to feed more people, faster and cheaper.
