Dude, I was joking, any warming, or cooling that happens on our planet is not due to man. Go out during the day, and look around you. See that light and feel the warmth? That's what drives the weather, and while you can curse the sun all you want, you can't change it one iota.
Oh no I know you were, I was just adding to your joke. I know your stance on global warming and we are in 100% agreement on that one. I am not a touchy as some of you may perceive in my posts, just politics tends to be devoid of much laughter these days if you know what I mean.....
Sorry BBP, caught me in a serious moment I suppose.
I'm thinking if we have another 4 years of Obama's record energy production, we can all be paying 10.00 per gallon of gas, and Chu will be cannonized into the EcoFreak hall of fame.

I was thinking about this the other day and harder push we make to wean ourselves off of petroleum products the higher the price will climb. Already we're seeing higher gas prices in places that tend to have more hybrid and efficient cars, and less consumption, California for example. That is because the price of gas increases with lower consumption, and goes down with higher consumption.
The eco freaks never though of that I bet. The more we continue to consume the better the prices we will see at the pump. This push to get us to consume less by Chu and other Eco nazis will only drive the price up. And the higher it gets the less people will be able to afford it thus making it go up even farther. The fact that the technology doesn't even exist to go cold turkey off of petroleum is laughable too. What are we supposed to use instead? Eco diesel? That is even more expensive than gas, so we are back to square one...
I agree. Not only that there is a fallacy that is widely accepted that we will run out of oil and the more we use the sooner we will run out. This on the surface makes perfect logical sense. However if you understand economics and history, it makes no sense. What will happen is as the supply of oil dwindles and the cost of extracting oil goes up, alternative fuels will become economically viable making oil too expensive to use as fuel. This is the only way that alternative fuels will become widely used. That's like the cave men saying they should use fewer rocks or early settlers saying they should use less whale oil because they would run out. Sooner or later a cheaper alternative appears and the use of that substance is discontinued. That's just simple economics. Secondly, we currently have the technology to convert any organic material to petroleum, including coal, natural gas, wood, and even sea weed. The only reason it's not being done on a large scale is that it's cheaper to get oil out of the ground and the oil producing countries will price the oil just low enough to keep these sources from becoming economically viable. However, when the supply dwindles these other sources plus wind, solar, and others will become viable. One cheap viable source of energy is already available and cheap, nuclear. But the liberals with there irrational fear of anything nuclear won't let us have that cheaper option. They sight the dangers such as what happened at 3 Mile Island, Chenobyl, and Japan as examples. However, add up all the deaths associated with coal mining, oil drilling, and even tree cutting and they far exceed those associated with nuclear accidents by many, many orders of magnitude. My contention is we will never run out of oil and if one country starts using more expensive alternative fuels now, their (ours) economy will collapse because we can't compete with countries using cheaper oil as fuel for their economies.
No worries man, I love his stand up comedy. Smart and funny man, and that was a while ago when it was super taboo to go against "scientific fact".
I caught Carlin live once, and his comic timing was impeccable. He had everyone in the palm of his hand.
What's most amazing about that particular clip is the TRUTH that Carlin speaks. He points out the self-importance that man has placed on himself; the narcissistic nature of man, if you will.
And, everyone in that audience knew he was right.
Of course, there will be a$$holes here who will disagree with Carlin's assessment of a 4 1/2 Billion year old planet. But, I say...let them be the first one the meteor hits.
Thanks again for sharing...Carlin pretty much sums up the anti-Green message that most world citizens are beginning to embrace.
I totally agree with his angle on endangered species and I have posted similar opinions on this forum in the past. It is arrogant to think that we control everything, whether it is for the good or in this case for the bad. We are not responsible for "business as usual" on this planet. And he is also right in saying that the booshwah environmentalists are merely trying to form their view of what the world should look like. "Green" and a better place for their Volvo's
It is just another way of saying that they are trying to tell everyone else what to do, and force their way of life on everyone else. Along with the guilt trip, and then money..... Although he didn't say it, it is obvious that there is a lot of money to be made peddling global warming and a green lifestyle, and people who have benefited from it will defend it vigorously in an attempt of self preservation.
No matter how often you and AlwaysWrong et al repeat the same nonsense, it will still be nonsense, as anyone who reads the threads on this topic can plainly see.

You spread fear and propaganda, and with no proof of any of it.
I live in the "green hell" known as California. The first two jobs I had here disappeared when the manufacturing plants (places that actually make things that people want) were shut down and moved to another state because California has made it almost impossible to have any manufacturing here. Also, the San Joquin valley, which was one of the most fertile, productive agricultural regions in the country is now almost all desert. That's because the government blew up a series of dams that stored the run off from the mountains for irrigation. Thousands of acres of fertile farmland and almond groves are now desert. This was done so that some obscure minnow could swim up stream to have sex. That cost the region 100,000 jobs. And they wonder why California is broke.
I see you're creeping up on 11K posts. Yeah...just one person.
I've done the math...it's improbable at best for someone who works. Then again, maybe you don't work.
Maybe the taxpayers are paying for your elitist a$$ to sit around only to spew lib-prog drivel and propaganda to those on a firearms sports forum.
I mean, just your existence here is a quandary of sorts, dontcha think? Uber Lib Environmentalist Obsessive-Compulsive battles Firearms Messageboard Cultists?
Something doesn't wash, amigo.
Then again, we've been down this road before, haven't we?
What does any of that have to do with climate change, wxl?
And Paco, more of your baseless speculation I see. By now I know to expect nothing more intelligible from you than a lot of bloviation, on this or any other topic. Logic isn't your forte.

Thanks for your thoughtful, informative response to my posts. It gives me a lot to think about so that I can re-evaluate my positions.
I've used logic with you in the past. It doesn't work on you.
Others here have used logic with you in the past. It doesn't work on you.
Then, you only go on to me/us a "racist, cultist, idiot, plutocrat, corporatist, idiot, etc., etc., etc."
So, now I simply bypass wasting my logic on you, and I call you out for what you are...a green t^rd in a punchbowl.
You see, it's easier that way for me, freek. Plus, it gets you spinning your wheels searching for quotes to copy-paste here, in some feeble attempt to promote the false legendary status in your own mind.
Not to worry, amigo...the cult will always be here for you to battle with, and for you to get your lib-prog talking points out to.
Gotta run, hoss. You see, I get up at 6am to go to work Monday thru Friday, while you're stroking it at your keyboard into the wee hours of the morning.
Take heart, the new EO passed this Friday afternoon by BHO, will put those dams back up if the food is needed by the nation. (And if our economy is any indicator, it will be needed.)
