Well S&P waited to announce the lowering of our credit rating until AFTER the market closed. Monday could be very interesting! Look for the US Dollar to go into a tialspin as US debt holding nations liquidate their holdings.

If people think it's bad now just wait, it won't take much to sink the economy into depression status, Half the people in this country do not know what poverty is, but it's comming because our leaders in Washington do not have the moral fortitude to stop spending thier citizens money. Add to that, we have become a nation that is not self sufficient. I hope that I'm very wrong but I think dark days are comming. Only this time, if deppression hits, I think civil unrest will become rampant because of all the people in this country who know nothing but getting goverment hand outs. I hope everyone has a plan for this but even the best plans can become meaningless with such uncertainty.

(Yes, I realize that there ARE people with this problem, but they are the exception and not the rule.) If the recent unrest that took place at the Wisconson State Fair opening day is any indication of what is to come then we are in serious trouble!

I have to say that I dont think the tea party created the debt. I find it a little disturbing that he would blame the tea party but I suppose he has to blame someone. Just the fact that as an advisor he would go on national tv and do something like that kinda makes me wonder why he is advising the president. Right now this administration should be trying to fix things but they are acting like kids and pointing fingers still. Its really no suprise after seeing this that america is in such **** poor shape. I pray to GOD this administration is gone soon.
The credit downgrade had more to do with increasing our debt limit and not making any kind of budget cuts to our spending.

The biggest mystery for myself is, What makes a liberal's brain tick. You know that there are more people riding the cart than pulling the cart, everyone know's this country spends more than it takes in, but yet thier answer is to raise spending and tax more, good god almighty! what is wrong with all these people, and there is no way to have a civil discussion with them because they have no common sense or understanding of simple economics. bquick the best analogy as to the liberal way of thinking is to that of a spoiled child who has never been told no. All that child wants is more, because they have never been taught limitations. If they do not get what they want they throw a temper tantrum (much like we are seeing today amongst liberals with namecalling and finger pointing) until they get what they want. Mommy is glad to give it to them just to shut them up!
