Arizona Law Upheld

The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Arizona law which requires businesses to verify the legal status of employees.

Supreme Court OKs Arizona's business immigration law - Washington Times

Now if only all states would grow a pair and do the same.

This part of the dissent is a laugh: "...the Arizona statute will impose additional burdens upon lawful employers...".

It's a safe bet that the lib scumbags writing this would have absolutely no qualms about shoving more burdens down employer's throats if it furthered one of their causes.

As an employer I have to say that it's not problem what so ever to verify someones legal status. We require an application, drivers license, permission for a background check, and drug screening. These requirements are actually required by our insurance carriers, contractors, and state & Federal governments that we work for. Everyone that works here goes through it. I don't like all the nosing around but it's not a burden.

As an employee, I can tell you that I had to jump through a number of hoops to get jobs at major companies. It hardly seems like too much to prove you have a right to be here. I think I smell do do.
