He is trying to scare the country into doing what he says. There are too many vets in this country that fought to free this world of communism. Them and many more are not willing to give this country up that easily. We are part of the 50% that still believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Carter...much like Obama, was a man out of step with reality...and still is. They both represent CHANGE...and as they found out WASHINGTON ain't about to CHANGE. Its about POWER...Carter didn't have a clue (still doesn't) and Obama's Ship of State is seriously taking on water.
I do like Jimmy's quiet demeanor, his thoughtful positions, his years of public service, and his dedication to peace and justice on an international scale. I also like the way he doesn't sink to the level of his critics. And if we, as a society, had followed the course he put us on in his Presidency, there would be peace in Israel and Palestine, we would not have gone into Iraq, we wouldn't be so beholden to the Wahabi Arabs who use our money to finance terrorism against us ... we, ourselves, might be a more prosperous, peaceful, and respectful society than we are today. Now, that's a lot of praise from an atheist about a very dedicated Christian.

The trend I noticed was that this particular board was inundated in the months before and after the election by right wing extremists. Maybe the real fact is that we tend to notice those opinions we find the most disagreeable.
