Love it. An effective boycott couldn't happen to a more deserving putz than Glenn Beck.
Well, there's always radio.
You would love it. According to the link above the boycott was started by an Obama appointee Van Jones who founded the group "Color of Change"
Van Jomes himself was put in prison over his role in the 1992 L.A. Riots that killed 53 people. when released from jail he said he came out a "Communist". Jones has since caused controversy and sowed the seeds of racial conflict in places as in Jena, Louisiana in late 2006, when six black teenagers severely beat a white student. Van Jones said the teenager assailants were somehow justified because of past discrimination of African-Americans, and race-baiting marches organized by Jones created tremendous conflict in Jena and across the nation.
Ahhhhhhhhhh hahahah, hahaha, let me breath... ahahahaha....
He is Entertainment News Jockey!!! He should be able to take the heat, if not then he should not be in that field... I do believe this whole thing falls well into what he preaches about "Capitalism" and the smart thing is to distance ones self when is comes down to political jockey play, for business sake. This is what probable stings the most for Glenn.
Wonder how long it will take all those "new conservatives" to take a good hard look at their political bedfellows, put two and two together, and remember that bearing false witness is a sin?
Not long, I think. Not when it's been as blatant as it has been lately. That's exactly what turned me around when I got tempted to go "conservative" during the early '90s.
A fool is a fool; why would you want your product associated with a fool? That is why the advertisers withdrew.
That one man's(?) opinion. I think Beck is entertaining. Political genius, probably not but according to Amazon his book is number 2 on their list and has been in the top 100 for 76 days. http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers...ef=pd_ts_b_nav
But its funny that some Communist's organization would boycott him proves he's gotten under someones skin.
I read that Wal-Mart pulled their ad dollars from his shows and that's hilarious. The same people who hate Beck think Wal-Mart is a scourge on the American retail market.
Would these groups have an impact on many of these business bottom line, probably not but there is the threat. Right out of Alinsky's playbook.
RULE 9: "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself." Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists' minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

I find it interesting that when the focus was Error Amerika Radio needing propping up from Soros, all we heard was was "Let the market decide". If there are those that bail on Beck, he can resell the airtime to someone else. Who cares.
Yea, he must be one of those OBSCENE PROFIT FOOLS. Like you're real Christian buddy talks about.
I don't know Beck, only seen him once, just looked and listened for a few seconds, and said "fool" and switched channels (I was traveling for work and had access to a t.v.) ... so I don't know how his investments are going, but I do know he and every other media personality is getting paid more per minute on screen than my paltry wage of $1500/day.
We had a local news anchor here who was earning more than $250,000/yr for reciting her script for 1/2 hr at noon 5 days a week (and more for her evening broadcast). Overpaid ... depends on your view, she didn't think so and sued after she was reduced to one show/day (midday) for poor ratings. So, 3rd rate anchor, $250,000 for 30 min/day, fair pay.

YOU free are the real 'putz'. He has more integrity under his toe nails than you could muster in a life time. If I were to write truthfully what you are deserving of I would be banned.

Do you always form your final opinions in a few seconds?
As far as fair pay goes, what's fair is what ever the deal is you work out before you take the job. It's not for me to judge unless they work for me. I'm guessing it takes more then 30 minutes a day to produce a news show.
Sorry, but paltry? Obama's gonna love raising your taxes...
gov't raises my taxes, I raises me wage Actually, been turnin' jobs down lately cuz it's not worth it paying 30% + being disabled, I often spend more time in pain than I did working.
That's what the gov't doesn't seem to understand. Businesses don't pay taxes, they pass them along to their customers. That's inflation via the tax code.
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE MICROPHONE!
I think this is smoke and mirrors to get folks hyped up about nothing. I listen to Beck occasionally and always take what he says with a grain of salt. He is an entertainer first and foremost - albeit a poor one at that. He always has a cheesy anecdote on how his life was hard - mother committing suicide or him being a drunk, or about his handicapped child to get the emotions flowing before he brings it home with the money shot topic of the week.
He showed up on WREC 600 in Memphis in the 8-11 am time slot on 9/12/2001. On Monday of that week Dr.Laura was in that time slot, we all know what was on that Tuesday. Wednesday - with no announcement here's this goofball that was a bit too quick to tow the party line - stars and stripes forever! His message, in my opinion, was a bit too pro-USA, a bit like he was selling the story - not reacting to it.
I've always felt he was a media shill, planted as such to take advantage and sway public opinion.
I thought she said what a lot of people needed to hear: Personal responsibility needs to be rediscovered. If you are so foggy-brained you have kids without the income to support them, you do whatever it takes. You screw something up, it's on you. Deal with it. There is often help, but it's on you to find it.
Well Glen Beck's rating and viewers are up from all uproar. Guess there is a lot of fools and such watching the putz now. Hope the liberals keep up the good work. They still don't get it and I hope they don't.
