I have never owned a "registered" gun. I have never had to get a permit to own a gun. I have never had to wait for more than 1 day to purchase a handgun and that was only once because the computer at NCIC was down (I picked up the next afternoon). I have purchased handguns in FL, GA, TX and Arkansas. In GA, I applied for a Concealed Carry Permit and had it in my possession within 2 weeks. In fact, the GA legislature just recently passed a law saying that you could legally carry (with CCW) inside an Airport, as long as you were not attempting to go thru TSA security screening with it. The TSA and the Atlanta police still say they will arrest anyone in the Atlanta Airport caught legally carrying a concealed weapon. How is that for ignoring the rule of law?

Do you have to keep renewing the permits? Or is it a one time thing for each gun you buy? Man I thought California was bad, Jersey takes the cake.
