I just installed an Accu-strut on my 580 series Mini 14 (2005 I think) with the pencil barrel. I had originally purchased a 4x Nikon scope for this Ranch rifle but sold it (the scope) because the rifle could not shoot better than 3-4moa. I resigned myself to just plinking with this rugged rifle. I've been reading about the Accu-strut for several years and decided to bite the bullet. SS, synthetic stock with a Harris Bi-pod. Went to the range today and shot a five shot group just under 1.5moa (100yrd range) with iron sights. Sorry no pictures. needless to say, I'm ecstatic. The installation was easy ( I drilled dimples in the gas block) and it looks great. Thank you!!
