Mo-Reaper question

Hi, I really like the mo-reaper. I've already had my 581 barrel cut and threaded, and the stock front sight re-set behind the threaded area. I was wondering if the mo-reaper would fit over the threads? The threads are about 5/8" long, 1/2"-28, ending flush with the front of the front sight. Thanks for your help.

Probably. The Mo-Reaper designed for the tactical Mini with the factory flash hider is designed to fit over the threaded portion of the barrel after the flash hider is removed. But, one key part of our design is to utilize the factory roll pin slot in the barrel. Since your rifle's barrel has been shortened, the roll pin slot would have to be created for our unit to hold fast. The Mo-Reaper is held in place by the roll pin and two set screws on the underside. Without all 3 in place, the gas pressure could possibly "launch" the unit when fired...

It has had the factory front sight re-set with the roll pin. So I would have to get the tactical specific model, not just the standard 581?

For any barrel that has been altered, we would really like to get some specific caliper measurements. You can pm me about this, and we'll see if we can get you set up...KMO
