Just received the new rear sight from Tech-SIGHTS,LLC. I am really impressed with it. Fit and finish is first rate...Looks like it is a factory OEM part.

Such a nice looking folder deserves a good rear sight; and the one from Tech-Sights appears to fill the requirements.

awesome set up! one of the better looking folders i have seen! have you shot with the new sights? much improvement over factory?

Have not shoot it yet, Its very cold here in upstate NY I'll keep everyone posted on how the sights work...I'm hoping for the best and they are very easy to adjust so it should be good to go.

SWEET...very nice... cool you have almost a one of a kind Mini(heavier barrel/folder)...But if Ruger started to make them again I bet they would sell...

The picatinny rail/strut was handmade on one of my motivated days during retirement. It consists of a piece of stainless shaped to wrap around the gas block and be secured by the front two block screws. The front is screwed to a 5/8" split collar with the bottom half ground to match the spacers at the gas block screws to maintain level. The rail is a generic one drilled and tapped to attach to the lower split collar and the stainless "custom" piece. A link to a more detailed thread w/photos...Picatinny Rail/Strut

Hi sling,

A bit of warning, I had to inlet the stock for the receiver area on this stock. I believe this stock was for an early 180 series receiver which had a narrower profile. The factory folders for any later series "should" fit without alteration.

Love learning new information on the Mini's.

I was curious because I got my folding stock on e-bay, and my Mini-30 action dropped right in, without any modification whatsoever. (post 180-?)

Not that I really mind modifying things. HA!

I was considering installing a new style barreled action in my stock...not because they are said to have tighter tolerances, or are more accurate, ect; but because I had so much fun sitting in front of the T.V. set, and tricking mine out the first time!
