I don't remember is the HK91 5.56 or is that the HK93. I had the 5.56 for a while didn't care for it as well as the mini either, and trying to find the brass after the HK pitched it, good luck if your in the desert brush at all.
YZblue.....it is .308....Packs a serious punch to your target and your shoulder.
Thanks Slamski, I think i'm going to go with the UTG scope mounts and get a stock that has the moveable cheek piece so I can at least try to get my head in the same raised position for the higher scope. Then I'll try to hit that barn from the inside that you referred to, better close the doors though.

I have one of these on my Mini 30 and my savage 110.
Need to sight in this red dot, but I have qd rings coming, so it will have to happen again when they get here. New version of the strut too. Not likely i will keep it...but it makes a good pic..lol. the old version wasn't any improvement and there was no real need FOR improvement, but I like to tinker.
Man, that looks awesome. Is that a metal magazine or a plastic one
Thanks, YZblue it's the factory Ruger 20rd mag. I just purchased another one and a factory 30rd and Triple K 40rd from CDNN. They also gave me two stripper clip guides for a special they had.
Well I finally all the needs accomplished on my list!

Loaded with Hornady Zombie-Max Ammo
Extremely happy with the Archangel stock (as are most)
Have you shot much of the Zombie Max? I am a Hornady fan and I have wanted to get some but have hesitated, although I am REALLY enjoying the zombie craze....when I buy ammo I want good shooting ammo, just don't wanna get something fadish that doesn't perform.

Yea, I've shot a box if it without any problems. Mixed a few of the round with fmj rounds, others back-to-back etc.
I feel confident enough having it in my magazine "ready to go". Until then I've had the Hornady critical defense rounds, I believe that's what they're called. Those also cycle no problem.
Just a little extra "thing" to add to my own neat'ness appeal.

that Zmax is the same as the critical duty line, but with the green plug instead of red. I think..

I read that the z-max was the same as the v-max, which I think is also the same as the defense bullets. Mine likes the 55gr z-max, but I found its a little less accurate than the 50gr v-max Fiocchi ammo I've been running lately. At $18/20 the zombie max is too expensive for me for practice, but the boxes sure look cool. The marketing worked.

I picked up a couple of PMAGs for mine, who makes the stock? That cheek piece looks like it would help with a scope.
Promag makes the Archangel stocks. They have them for the 10/22 and Remington 597 .22s. Also have the sparta for the mini 14/30, a stock for the m14/m1a1, and a few shotguns. The website is promagindustries.com. No offense to promag, buy don't buy one there, look around online and you can save A LOT of money. I just got the Archangel Nomad stock for my 10/22, its a big improvement over the 5.56 kit I have on my Remy 597- Im going to put the remy back into the orig stock and sell the archangel 5.56 I think...
Quick ****ty update- added a bottom rail and some MBUs, as well as a new optic
Hey, I like this set up. I am new to the mini-14, just ordered a 5847 will have it next week. Can you tell me all the names and makes of the mods you did? Thanks!!!
I was watching the utube video on installing the Archangel stock on the mini 14 and after watching it the Archangel is out because there are certain models its not made for, and my 182 is one of them. Trying to find a stock with a moveable cheek piece on it to work better with the scope I would like to eventually put on it, I've seen some nice pics on here with some awesome looking rifles I just need to find out who makes the stocks.

YZBlue....and yes I am a Yamaha fan too...got a WR250F, kids got YZ85.....anyways...I have a 181 model and just put a Sparta on it.....I had to do 3 small mods on the top rail....took about 4 hours....I will put up pics and instructions if you want....put 50 rounds through it last weekend and it seems to work great, zeroed in my optic with no problems! The weight of the stock all but removed any recoil and the pistol grip is awesome.

Another rider awesome, I use the 450F for MX racing they tell me 56 is too old but I have a blast, it's just for fun. I went and put the Tapco collapsible stock on mine because they said the Sparta wouldn't fitbut since the Tapco has both upper and lower rails I won't have to deal with scope mounts on the receiver, a scope with a long eye relief will work well, I've noticed in a lot of pics here that's what others have done.
