I live in the NW corner or of the state, I sometimes get out to the Hobbs gun range but most of the times I go out to the farm and we have 100 yds marked off.

I've been looking at your avatar and wondering what it is long enough. it appears to me to be a mortar tube set up by a rifle pit?

So I have to remove the four screws holdong the gas block in place, remove the two halves ( upper and lower) and the the bushings will just drop out with a little wiggle ? That just seems too simple.
Are buffers that easy too ?

I see a lot of your posts, and feel like you are pretty knowledgable on the Mini platform. Can you tell me how difficult it would be for me to do a gas bushing upgrade ? I am not much of a gunsmith, but I am like a good dog and learn fast.

Some of the major online suppliers are getting stock back, I'm getting ready to order some of my favorite bullets from Midway USA, Nosler 55 bt. I would love to plan a trip to Lubock TX and take my mini for prairie dogs. I spoke with a guy that said the whole area in Lubock is covered with them and said to come down anytime. I'm also waiting for the 1000 pcs of LC once fired brass to come in. Good luck with the new loads. Have you tried any of the 50 gr Varmit Grenades from Barnes?

Still scratching my head on loads. Weather has not been good when I could shoot. Wind was to high this past weekend. I have a new load of 69 Sierra BTHP and 25.5 of RL-15 that looks promising and like I said the 55FMJ with 24 of 10x. I am now out of the TSX's myself. I like them, but dang they are pricey!

I have 2 factory 5 rd mags and scratched a 1 & 2 on them. I have 3 Promag 20 that shoot very and have not labeled them yet. I'll have to get more of the 62 gr TSX and try that load. I will see the same results with 40 gr Vmax loads hitting lower than 55 & 60 gr loads, which hit abou the same.

Yes I thought of that yesterday but only took my five rounder and a twenty rounder. Ok which mag works best for you. The factory 20 or the five. Also have you tried keeping a certain number in the mags as you shoot groups say 10 rounds but only shoot five? All the rifles I have reloaded for have been more accurate than this gun. I also notice that the 62 grain TSX with 22.5 of 10x had a higher trajectory at 100 than did the Win. 55FMJ did with 24 grains of 10x. The same thing when using Identical loads of RL-15 the TSX's trajectory was higher than the 64 Win. PP. Must have quite a bit better BC than those other bullets.

I will get the same results at times, three will be within .5" of each other and a couple will stray out and give a group of 1 1/4". Sometimes I think its the mags, I can get better groups out of different mags, so I number them to keep track.

Ross, I shot today. Didn't figure out much though. Wind was terrible coming in at an odd angle, and it was cold. I also had some scope trouble or something, I ended up shooting with my 2-7x Burris Fullfield II. Anyway 62 gr, TSX with 22.5 of 10x powder and win 55FMJ with 24 of 10x shot the best. I'm still fiddling with the rifle and loads and such. I was kind of disappointed as most groups were between two and three inch range. I know I can do better as some of the groups might have three practically touching with the others screwing the group up. Catch you later

I went out saturday and yesterday for some coyote calling and no luck. Too windy saturday and I had one bust me and run with no shot because of cattle. Good luck!

Ross, I did shoot a few times today but it was very windy and my target was getting rocked back and forth so I said the heck with it. I tried to call up a coyote or bobcat and had no luck. As soon as I can get things together I'll post my results!

I think my last good buy on primers were some Mag Tech $23.00/1000. They seem to work ok, I've always bought the CCI, may have to go back for whatever is left. Have a Merry Christmas too!

Really I prefer Remington 7-1/2 small rifle primers, wish I could find some of those that cheap! I bought some Fed205m's at Sportsmans Warehouse not long ago for about $32.00 a 1,000. Have Merry Christmas!
