M14E2 (M14A1) Walnut Stock.

My old man served his 4 years for the corps 25+ years ago. He came across serveral M14E2 (M14A1) during his time in the corps. Fathers day is coming up not to mention his 55th birthday and I'm trying to get a hold of one. I've been looking everywhere for one. I've tried Mcmillan and Fred Stocks but mcmillan only manufacters fiberglass stocks, and fred stocks always seems to be out of stock due to high demands. I can't seem to come across any decent condition stocks. There was one posted on gunbrokers.com but not really looking for one with a cammie job. I'm looking for Walnut or Birch stocks. Perferably in 85% - 100% condition. I was wondering if anyone here know where I can purchase one. Thanks in the mean time.

I found a couple. The gunparts.com has the stocks near the bottom of the page just above the CZ stocks. Good luck on your search.

I found a couple
Actually, no. YeuongCE is seeking an M14E2/M14A1 stock. That's the one with the pistol grip & straight-line buttstock, inter alia.

We've (Fulton Armory) toyed with the idea of commissioning an E2 stock to complement our new USGI walnut stocks*, but an E2 that takes a standard buttplate. It's the stock hardware that's really, really hard to find. I've never found hardware separate from the stock. So, you can make the wood straightforwardly enough, but where does that get you? A fellow was reportedly making some repro hardware about ten years ago, but I was never able to find him.

Your best bet is to stay on top of Fred's. That's where I got a couple, including the one I still have. Of course, that was about ten years ago .

Regards,

Walt
* These really are new USGI stocks, we sell them to the Army.

Hi my friends. Gunbroker currently has an E2 stock for sale and it is not inexpensive. $500.00 starting bid. This one does not have a front grip. Here is the link. Good luck.

I most likely will sell mine in the near future. I found it at of all places a garage sale quite a few years ago. Someone apparently tried to cover up the selector switch void and used some other wood. My M1A fits and it doesn't look real bad. It has all of the hardware including the forward grip but not the sling. I will probably post it on Gunbroker.com and I will try to get as much for it as I can. There is another toy/toys I could get. I'll let you know when I do post it. If you would like to see pics of it e-mail me with your e-mail addy and I will send them to you.

I have decided to try and sell it on Ebay first and it will be with the stabilizer assembly. Here is the link.

I searched for a nice all original USGI E2 stock for a few years and I'm still looking for one.
Reproduction wood stocks currently made by Boyds' and re-sold by many do nothing for me.

Just last month I decided to take matters into my own hands and came up with a modernized
M14E2 stock for my Smith Enterprise, Inc. M21A5 - The SAGE M14ALCS/CV from Clyde Armory.

This semi-auto SEI built rifle is set up for iron sights only and does not require a forward grip

Nice set up H2O MAN! A SOCOM would look great too with that stock.

M14E2 Stock

I have one available. Story has it that it came from Team 3 on the west coast. I bought this and an M14 folding stock from him. $400 shipped.
