Henry Arms .45-70

According to their website Henry has come out with a new lever gun in .45-70 with a steel reciever. According to the web site it can handle all the differant .45-70 loads including the heavy ones. Any one seen one in a store yet?

Hmm i was just at the gun shop yesterday and dont remember seeing it, although i wasnt really looking for something like it.

Next time i go i'll keep an eye out for it. Looks a lot like a Marlin 39A with the curved lever handle

The 45/70 Henry looks like a Marlin with military sights.

.

I don't like the way it loads cartridges into the tube like a 22 rim fire. I prefer the loading gate in the receiver. Otherwise it looks good.

Think I just found my next rifle

But it only holds 4 rounds? But then again, how many do you need?

I agree, but I wonder if loading from the end of the tube makes the receiver stronger?

I have always liked the way the Henry loads. Im glad they are making a 45-70 capable of handling powerful modern ammo. The sights look cool to. I might have to check into getting one of these. I have 2 henry rifles (both .22lr) and I feel like I need to add a big dog 45-70 Henry to my collection.

I think they will sell alot of these. If you can't get it done in 4 shots then the way you have to load it will be a benefit as helping you find cover and concealment for the reloading process might be the one thing that will save you from those Zombie Hordes?
