.454 Puma ?

Anyone ever seen a .454 Puma with a cheek piece installed on top of the stock ? Like you might see on a scoped rifle ?

God bless

Nope, haven't seen a .454 Puma ever. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on one. Of course, my 94 saddle ring carbine might get jealous.

No , a rubber thing mounted on top of the top edge of the stock . There are two screws that presumably attach / remove it .

My guess is there are two corrisponding metal inserts in the wood of the stock ?

I got something from Cabela's like that, but it didn't screw in. It takes a neoprene sleeve over the butt of the stock, and has several foam inserts depending on how high you want the cheek rest. I think it was $18.

I think Rossi must have made some Pumas with a scout mount for a scope . In place of the rear sight . The cheek piece would have allowed the shooter to get his head / eye high enough to allign with the scope ?

God bless
