I acquired an unopened square tin of DuPont #6 a a couple years ago and used it all up in my 45 ACP, worked great. Couldn't find my grandfathers old reloading manual so I had to ask on a couple forums myself.
If you're sure the powder is still good, #6 has a burn rate between Bullseye and Unique. Wouldn't recommend magnum loads, stick to 38 special loads and you'll be fine.

I was on Google looking up info and came across the "Ideal Handbook 38" in pdf and downloaded it. Can't find where I got it from but here is some info for 357 with cast bullets.

Good luck. I can't recall what forum I found the link or why I was there in the first place.
No luck finding it again. PM me your email address if you'd like me to send the whole pdf book.

Found it....http://www.castpics.net/LoadData/OM/IdealHandbook38.pdf
