feed ramp polishing
Hey, I have an AO m1 carbine, and I was considering polishing the ramp for added reliability with softpoints. what grit(s) would you recommend for this?

Since you don't want to change the profile of the ramp I would only use hard felt wheel bobs with little red or white rouge. If you're forced to use sandpaper use automotive wet/dry in the 1000 to 2000 grit range and only do it enough to smooth it shiny and no more.

Correct, I don't want to change the profile of the ramp. Just slick it up enough to help the softpoints get going. Thanks!
