I hope her finger's not too badly damaged. I'd expect putting the piranha bowl out of reach would be part of the child-proofing process.

Drifting the topic, as dogs are the quintessential pets: Around here dog attacks seem to be the most common source of injury from animals. People have strong opinions about pit bulls, one way or the other.

My opinion is, in theory I believe those who say pit bulls can be trained not to attack except on command. In practice it often doesn't work that way. It's not like a firearm, where one can honestly say, I have complete control over what happens with this firearm. Some people think they have control over their dogs, until it becomes clear to everyone they didn't and someone is injured.

thread should be titled some parents who shouldn't be parents.
