Hit the river today for spring chinook, water high but still able to go 1 for 2. Took a while with all the subpar weather this spring but the salmon run is doing pretty good this year. I have hit at least 1 salmon a trip out 6 trips out in the past 15 days. Where else can one fish a river that flows through the downtown of a major metropolitan city for chinook?

i came across some butter rum flavored life savers the other day. i had not seen them in awhile (maybe i just hadn't been looking).

but.....they are freakin delicious! best candy i had in quite some time. try em out!

My wife always buys those lifesaver books for my son at Christmas, even now that he is in his late 20's and lives 2,500 away.

Perseid Meteor Shower this weekend
Best time to look is early morning. Jupiter, Venus and crescent moon join the meteors this year.
