Hey all,
Have a stainless front sight off my mini. Mine is a -197 series ranch. Good cond, no major damage. If you need one, let me know. I don't need nor plan on using it, and if yours is damaged or lost, maybe this one could replace it.

Same for me, EXCEPT mine has some slight damage on the ramped portion where there are several small machine cuts (probably to reduce glare). I had the sight wrapped with cloth but my 18" channel locks slipped when rotating the sight off and
marred the edges of the ramp. Some careful filing could easily restore to close-to-new condition if you want a project.

How can we get more participation in this forum?

PS: I just saw one on e-bay in 2rangers' condition and the last price was $45.00!! Pretty generous of you 2R!

Az-
I just can't see trying to gouge someone for a piece as small and trivial like this. After all, I couldn't mount it back on my barrel if I wanted, w/ all the machine work I did. I'm just thinking if someone made a goof while removing theirs, or it got damaged somehow, they might be able to use it as a replacement. There are some minor scratches, but could prob. be removed w/ some fine emery or a day in the tumbler.

I hear you. If I thought I would want a front factory sight back on I would be putting my name in for it. Even with your scratches it's got to be better than mine. That baby felt like a shrink fit and it took a lot of muscle and the large channel locks just to get it to turn a bit.

The sight even got almost to hot to touch just from the friction! I have the Choate flash hider/compensator with the "winged" front sight and really like the picture a lot better. If nobody wants to hassle with mine I may just junk it, but then again, I'm the world's 2nd largest packrat I think so it may be here for another 32 years.

We're both bad! I just looked at Brownells and here is the real value of a front sight. I have said it before and I'll say it again: ALWAYS check out prices before buying on E-bay! I'll see if some poor dude bought the solid platinum one on E-bay listed at $45.00

Item 43 KMS04400 780-000-563 Sight, Front, SS $8.91

EDIT: The one on E-bay is no longer listed. Either it didn't sell or somebody has a sore rear end.

That's a "d'oh!" moment.

Do you still have the front sight? Give me a call 803-549-7858 on way or the other. Thanks
