Refinished Eddystone

I refinished the wood on my US Model of 1917, Eddystone because the old finish was flaking. I sanded the old polyurethane off then used linseed oil for the finish.

Here is a short video of yesterdays project.

It looks pretty good, I tried to take off only the polyurethane but I got some of the old dirt in the process. To me, the value is beyond what I can sell it for, but how useful it can be.

I find it valuable.

Goog job, I use linseed oil on my Enfields. I'm looking around for a nice P14 but would not pass up a 1917 if I come across one. Damn fine rifles.

Thank you!

Yes, I love this rifle; shoots wonderfully, is very sturdy, and looks great.
