Which Promoter is the best? I know that all the Crossroads of the West shows have really let me down.

I've only been to Roadrunner shows and not too many of those.

Ter Mark & Crossroads are the biggest around here (AZ) and it's 6 of one half a dozen of the other. Except for the banners I'd never know the difference between the 2.

Yo Plinky! The first show listed in CA (May 20-21) is where I was born!

Opinion wanted: Should we put AZ in with SoCal, or just leave it SouthWest (or include SoCal in SouthWest)?

AZ, you from Glendale? It has been completely taken over by Armenians these days. Not a bad neighborhood though.

Yep, Plink. I'm one of the few real-genuine California natives. Tell me about Armenians. I work for one! (Our company is headquartered in S. Ca)

I was in S CA for my mother's funeral about 2 months ago, and drove by the old house I was raised in. I think my folks probably paid $9,000 in the late 40's or early 50's. It and the house next to it, were condemmed and the 2 lots were selling for $2.5 MILLION so a small apartment complex can be built.

OH BIll! NO! Most of us Arizonans moved here just to get away from KALIFORNIA! Please don't put us back in with it. We are in the SW with other gun-friendly neat places like New Mexico (It's getting better), NW Texas, etc.

If you want to move maps around, call Vincente Fox and tell him he can have California back. It's not much good for anything else.

Before I get to much flack back on that last statement, let me say I speak from the standpoint of living there from 1944 to 1961, then back again after my CG service in 1964-1968, so I know how fantastic it USED to be. Could own any gun you wanted, minimum traffic, clean beaches, and people mined their own business.

There were, then as now, many minorities but we all got along pretty good and there were no marches down Brand Blvd. (Pick any main street in any town) with the Mecican Flag flying. Not even at the "Days of the Verdugos" annual parade that celebrated the founding of the Glendale area by the Verdugo, yes Hispanic, family. They were proud to be Americans!

Sorry to rant, Bill, I guess a simple "Please don't" would have sufficed.

I just got back from visiting AZ. Nice place to visit, but I couldn't live there... too much like a moonscape for me. But I do like the attitude towards firearms (grin).

If I get calls from people with names like Andrazian, Hatcherian or basically everything that ends with "...ian" I ask for their zip code and tell them that we don`t service this area. It`s a waste of time to go there (proven fact). You can`t make money with Armenians.

I was in S CA for my mother's funeral about 2 months ago, and drove by the old house I was raised in. I think my folks probably paid $9,000 in the late 40's or early 50's. Yeah, the prices for real estate are quite ridiculous these days. First time buyers with an average income don`t stand a chance. Hate to say it, but the American dream is dying in SoCal.

Depends where you go. Sounds like you may have been around the Kingman or Holbrook area? Nothing good comes from Kingman. (Terry Nichols and Timothy McVie (sp) sound familiar?)

The northern and north central part has mountains with trees, deer, bear, etc., the Grand Canyon, and snow in the winter (Flagstaff area in general).

I like the desert area, and to me I see some real beauty just in the odd cacti, weird rocks, etc. To each there own though.

And yes, it is very gun friendly. I haven't bnothered to take the mandatory training for a concelled carry permit, so I have to leave the barrel sticking out under my shirt. Then it's legal because it isn't concealed.

If I leave here it's to move to Cambodia or Thailand. I loved it over there, plus I'm getting a hankering for barbecued tarantulas. Hmmmm. Wonder if the Scorpions we have here are as tasty? Rattlesnake is pretty good.

Is there a 2007 show schedule, yet? I'm looking for something in north central CA, or Reno.

I`ve noticed that there are no shows scheduled in the Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, anyone here got an idea why? Well the Orange County show is better anyway...
