Stock looks insanely different; almost synthetic. Whats up with the pattern?

Smile Scout Rifle

I bought a Remington 7400 carbine a few years ago in 30.06. I found some 10 round magazines, and a sling for it, so it is my scout rifle. I haven't decided about a scope for it, the iron sights are quite good in the hilly terrain where I live. It has a synthetic stock.

I have a couple of the new magazines but I won't have a chance to use them for awhile yet.

Rest assured I'll post some feedback as soon as I can.

We are not talking about Cooper carbine generally built by others,. His scouts had to go and range from the forward mount. His idea was to iron the back of the receiver and a radius of about a 11-inch line of sight, just make a front sight. See, I read very well.
