Talking My ultimate crazy stock 22 savage bolt!

From this...

Bolt Stock by jpetrak, on Flickr

Fitment Issue 1 by jpetrak, on Flickr

To...
-Cutting a channel in the stock for the Savage FVT rear sight to fit
-Widening the barrel channel so the barrel is actually free floated
-Inletting the magazine plate and trigger guard because they weren't already
-Sanding the cheek piece down for my perfect cheek weld
-Sanding, steel wool, and staining

Should really be an eye catcher at the range

Beautiful use of laminated woods. Great colors and all around job.

Thanks

Its from Richards Microfit Stocks and they are always a bit of gamble on how finished they will be.

So after some simple wood work I had myself a great stock. Gotta give em that they do have great color schemes that no one else has as well as some amazing looking stocks that no one else makes.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get out and shoot recently due to back surgery.

Once I can,I put up some pictures of some targets.

I agree thats a nice use of dyed laminated wood. Its a little loud for my taste but I would definitely entertain such a stock in several shades of earthy type colors.

Its definitely loud, no doubt.

But something I found out is that it blends right in with all the fall leaves and would be one heck of a varmint controller in the fall forests

Ha, I have not forgotten about this thread yet.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I have been recovering from a 1 level fusion low back surgery since 8/24 of last year. At 6-9 months for a recovering period, Im getting there slowly. At this point im almost off the muscle relaxers and pain killers, so when it hits 40 degrees here I should be able to take it out and get those targets up

Oh sure, use excruciating pain and back surgery as an excuse. Oh well any excuse is better than none.

Involuntarily retires since 1988 due to 3 herniated discs they cannot operate on. Unlike William Clinton I really do feel your pain.
