I ventured down to Camp Perry last week to check out what they had to offer and came home with my first M1 Garand. I found it in the rack grades but it really didn't belong there. It's a 1943 Springfield, re-barreled in 1947. The bore is a 1 and the throat is a 3.5. It has a walnut stock in good condition with a small crack in the rear hand guard. The finish on the metal parts is even and there is no rust or pitting. It was well cared for by someone. I wiped the stock down with oil but other than that, this is how it came from the CMP. It was the best $445 I ever spent and I can't wait to shoot it.
