Dear Mr. Hennessy:

I am Kenneth Gladney’s attorney. Kenneth was attacked on the evening of August 6, 2009 at Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall meeting in South St. Louis County. I was at the town hall meeting as well and witnessed the events leading up to the attack of Kenneth. Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out “Don’t Tread on Me” flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.....................

Consider the depth of dishonesty and sheer sore-loserness it takes to insist on comparing the American electoral system to the Nazi invasion and occupation of France.

so you have no comment in regard to the actual substance of the OP? consider the depth of deflection and sheer obfuscation it takes to insist on repeatedly ignoring the reality of a situation over numerous posts and threads, and responding instead with flowery, slippery, utterly empty word-smithing.

When TNZ71 stops the childish name calling, we can discuss current political events like adults.

Comparing "freedom of speech" to assault and battery, a novel idea.

No, I did not do that.

But now that you mention it, and in keeping with your earlier question, which might as well be discussed since this thread is a dupe anyway, here is a really novel idea:

money equals freedom of speech

Remember that one? That's the argument made against campaign finance reform, just one of many bad consequences of the hydra that is the fiction of corporate personhood.

Even the ACLU fell into that error:

Where were you during the Bush administration?
Were you among those clamoring for Bush's second front in Iraq, shouting down those who argued for a more level-headed approach? Were you among those who argued all along for deregulation at any cost? To let the banks and corporations do whatever they saw fit? Were you always arguing for more tax cuts for the wealthy? (that one's purely rhetorical).

Because if you were, you are among those who caused the debt crisis.

 So how many social entitle programs did it take over the last 50 years to crank that debt clock up to the twilight zone?

Again, your just trying to divert the issue from the liberals who implemented all of this horrendous spending over the past decades.

California (the great liberal experiment) can't even get it's IOUs honored.

Say what you will, you may not be explicitly comparing assault and battery with freedom of speech, but you seem to imply dismissiveness towards the charges based on a dislike for the free speech being spoken. You do not have a right to not be offended. Free speakers do have a right to not be beaten.

Moving the thread to "Debates for Dummies".

You guys really just like to argue and fight, don't you? This thread is ALL over the map.

Should be "Debates for ADHD".

The other post for this thread after the one I quoted didn't show up until after I posted.

I'm now reading "web Posting for Dummies", so it shouldn't happen again. :)
