First turkey of the season

Actually it's my first turkey ever. I've just started hunting. Got this Tom in my backyard. Dropped him with an old New Englad Firearms Pardner model 12ga. He weighed in at 16.5lbs. Not a record breaker, but not a bad start either!

Nice bird! My first one was taken about 3 yrs ago and was about the same size. I've only taken 2 birds total, the second had a nice beard. My kids sports take up my spring weekends lately and I miss the turkey season. Alot of fun and good hunting!;)
