Are We Tired Yet?

Haven't most of you lost the steam yet over this coming election? Do we think by now with all the innuendo, arguments, bannings, SHTF claims, impending civil war, Obama's a muslim, McCain can't use the internet, Biden is a .....who knows?, Palin is a nazi rihgtwing zealot, blah blah blah that we are chaing anyones mind here at Perfectunion? Are you not getting weary of the stuff being said by both sides? I just finished reading the last 10 threads here in the Political chit-chat and am I tired! This stuff is for the birds. How about a few days of self imposed ban on the presidential front just to allow things to calm down and our manners to return. Then perhaps we can return with something different to say rather than sound like Al Franken and Bill O'Rielly arguing on cspan. Come on guys, we should be able to talk about something new!

Why not stick to at least somewhat demonstrable evidence and reason, which would cut through a lot of the bull. I do not believe in equivalence for equivalence's sake. There are better and lesser arguments and points of view.

Until today I took a few days off due to additional work to do, and find reading and posting to be an interesting diversion, so I guess "tired" depends on perspective. One doesn't have to have a "reason" to take a break from the Political Chit Chat forum, of course.
